Tommy Shoemaker, 86, of Russellville, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 at his daughter’s home. He was born in Lewisburg on July 31, 1937 to the late Albert Shoemaker and Essie Eula Ryan Shoemaker. He was a Foreman at ITW for 32 years and a greeter at Walmart for years. He was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Shoemaker.
He is survived by hid son, Danny Shoemaker and wife Jessica of Bowling Green; his daughters, Barbie Mottley and husband Chris of Bowling Green and Debbie Grise and husband Joe of Russellville; his brother-in-law, Dorris Burchett of Germantown, Tenn.; his sisters, Laura Neil Jessup of Centerville, Ohio, and Jamie Cauley of Lewisburg; his sister-in-law, Helen Burchett of Olmstead; his grandchildren, Krystal Janes and husband Blake, D.J. Duncan and wife Samantha, Daniel Shoemaker, Logan Peterson, Joe Beach and Maddi Beach; his nine great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Rita Taylor.
Funeral services for Tommy Shoemaker will be conducted at 1 p,m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Miller and Bro. Nick Stamps officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Monday, Nov. 13, from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the service hour.
