Ruth Elaine (Bond) Suarez, 91, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023 at Auburn Nursing Facility in Auburn. She was born on Feb. 29, 1932 to the late George an Jennie (Williams) Bond.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Mendell Bondl Morris Bond of Auburn, and her sister, Louise Dillihay of Louisville.
She is survived by her son, Dalton Thompson of Russellville; her brothers, Sidney Bond, Roy Bond (Betty) and Boyd Bond (Norita), all of Russellville; her sister, Barbara Thompson of Russellville, and several nieces and nephews.
She was a faithful member of Epley Baptist Church and played the organ there for many years. She worked for Bank of America in Long Branch, Calif. for 20 years where she loved to play golf, and then in Dallas, Oregon for five years before returning to Russellville as an auditor for Citizens National Bank.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with Bro. Bill Vaught officiating and Bro. Calvin Bond assisting. Burial twill follow in Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
