Carol Walters Gorrell, 85, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023 at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. She was the daughter of the late Willard Walters amd Rhunelle (Sinard) Walters.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Browning H. Gorrell Jr.
She is survived by long-time companion, Lowell Hatfield of Russellville; her son, Buck Gorrell of Cowen, Tenn.; her daughter, Cissy Gorrell Harter of Russellville; her sister, Diane Fenton of Tallahassee, Fla.; her granddaughter, Emily Hamrick; and her grandsons, Joshua Hamrick and Myers Gorrell.
Carol loved all things beach and that was her happy place. She also loved reading romance novels and dancing.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 2, in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville from 10 a.m. to noon with a Graveside Service to follow at 12:30 in Maple Grove Cemetery.
