Earl Ray Boyd Sr., 72, of Russellville, passed away at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2023. He was born on Feb. 15, 1951 to the late Melvin Ray Boyd and Eva (Price) Boyd.
He was also preceded in death by his sons, infant William Boyd and Jeffery Boyd Sr.; his daughter, Michelle Barrow; his granddaughter, infant Eva Rose Boyd; and his sisters, Jean Lyons, Sharon Scott and Gale Gann.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Theresa (Lacefield) Boyd; his children, Crystal Boyd (Paul Bellar), Denise Boyd, Terri Abney (Harley) , Ray Boyd Jr. (Tina White) and Darrell Stultz, all of Russellville; his brother, Roger Boyd of Russellville; his sisters, Carolyn Boggs of Russellville and Betty Peacock of Shepherdsville; and his 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many other extended family members.
He was a member of Little Freedom Baptist Church. He worked in a brickyard, car wash in Louisville, Hinkle Chair Company in Springfield, construction, tobacco and hay for many farmers in Logan County. He loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, and most of all riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 21, in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville from 3 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday with services at 1 p.m. with Bro. Brandon Ellis officiating with burial to follow in Felts Cemetery. Donations can be made to Kirby Funeral Services.
