Nadine DeBerry, 92, of Auburn, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023 at Logan Memorial Hospital. She was born in Auburn on Sept. 18, 1930 to the late Harvey Anderson and Ona Vera Johnson Anderson. She had worked at Rockwell and for the Logan County School System and was a member of the Plainview General Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl DeBerry; her sons, Larry DeBerry, Avery DeBerry and Gregory DeBerry; her grandchildren, Trampus DeBerry and Krista Higgins; and her great-granddaughter, J.J. DeBerry.
She is survived by her son, Dwight DeBerry and Reba of Franklin; her daughter, Sheila Higgins and Jesse Tisdale Jr. of Auburn; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Nadine DeBerry will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Craig Jackson officiating with burial to follow in Chandlers Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available.
