Jim Basham, 55, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, Aug.27, 2023 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born April 24, 1968 to the late James Windle Basham and Mary Patricia Fleener Basham. He was a team leader in health and safety at Logan Aluminum, He was a member of the Russellville United Methodist Temple and graduated from Russellville Independent High School where he was selected as a National Merit Scholar.
He is survived by his mother, Pat Basham of Russellville; his brother, John Basham of Salt Lake City; his aunts, Lee Thompson of Russellville and Phyllis Buxton of San Antonio; his uncle, Richard Fleener of Centertown; and several cousins.
Funeral Services for Jim Basham will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Harting and Bro. Van Mitchell officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
Memorial donations may be made to the SCKY American Red Cross, 958 Cottett Ave. # 800, Bowling Green, KY 42101. Envelopes will be Available at the Funeral Home.
