Janice Shifflet, 66, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at her home. She was born in Elkton on Aug. 31, 1956 to the late Sinclair Delk and Juanita Sullivan Delk. She was the owner and operator of Northern Nursery and Florist and attended Trinity Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Perry Shifflet; her sons, Billy Shifflet and Eddie Shifflet, both of Russellville; her daughter, Charlene Martinez of Bowling Green; her sisters, Dean Law and husband Byrns of Russellville and Gin Delk and husband Charlie of Sharon Grove; her six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Janice Shifflet will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Shultz and Rev. Michael Vollman officiating with burial to follow in Auburn Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Friday, June 30, from 5-8 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family asks that donations be made to Gideons International or the donor’s favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
