Amanda Katherine Burchett, 94, of Adairville, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at her home. She was a Logan County native, born Sept. 22, 1928 to the late John Albert Miles and Myrtle Lee Rosser Miles. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Edward Burchett; her grandchildren, Tammy Poole Burchett and Jason Stratton; and her great-grandchildren, Colton Stratton and Dalton Clinard.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Burchett and wife Charlotte and Mark Burchett, all of Adairville; her daughters, JoAnn Whittaker and husband Tommy, Kathy Johnson and husband Eddie, Sheila Scott and husband Johnny, and Penny Moore, all of Adairville; 18 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Amanda Katherine Burchett will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Duane Moore, Pastor John Scott and Pastor Tony Stratton officiating with burial to follow at Adairville’s Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service.
