Mary Elizabeth Clayton, 78, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was born in Glasgow on July 14, 1944 to Lilly Marie Rhode Clayton. She was a homemaker and was a Christian.
Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Raymond Clayton; her sisters, Pearl Byars and Mary Lou Clayton; her brothers, Alonzo Clayton and John Thomas Clayton. and her sons, Billy Clayton and Charles Clayton.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Clayton and Tracey of Auburn and Raymond Clayton and Tommy Clayton and Liz, all of Russellville; her daughter, Linda Sydnor and Wayne of Russellville; her brothers, Jimmy Clayton and Wanda and Lee Bradshaw, all of Olmstead, Anthony Clayton and Jennifer of Bowling Green, and David Clayton and Debbie and Clifton Clayton, all of Russellville; her sisters, Stella Cross and Vic of Allensville and Betty Sydnor and Jay of Russellville; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren
Graveside Services for Mary Elizabeth Clayton will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at Russellville’s Greenwood Cemetery with Bro. Mo Beard officiating. There will be no public visitation held before the graveside service.
Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
