Merrill Wayne Wilson, 83, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Russellville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023 at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville. He was a Logan County native, born Oct. 10, 1939 to the late Flander Wilson and Bertha Hightower Wilson. He was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Denton Wilson and Henry Wayne Wilson.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Wilson of Hopkinsville and Sandra Davenport of Chandlers Chapel; his sister, Shirley Head of Russellville; his grandchildren, Nick Mantlo and Madison Davenport; and his great-grandchildren, Mason Lance Davenport and Lennon Davenport.
Funeral services for Merrill Wayne Wilson will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Heflin officiating with burial to follow in Dripping Spring Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
Memorial donations may be made to the Logan County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
