Lawrence Herndon Piper, 85, of Allensville passed away Saturday Dec. 17, 2022, at Creekwood Place Nursing & Rehab. He was the son of the late Herndon Leland Piper and Ila Louise (Shelton) Piper. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Stuart, and his brother, Douglas Piper.
He is survived by his sons, Ralph Piper (Kathy) of Cromwell, Dodd Piper (Marsha) of Bowling Green, and Bryan Piper (DeAna) of Keysburg; his daughters, Alicia Landreth (Jason) of Simpsonville and Debralee Shrode of Russellville; his brother, Donald Piper of Russellville; his sister, Louise Whalen (Jim) of Charlotte, N.C.; his sister-in-law, Charlene Piper of Olmstead; his grandchildren; Dusty, Madison, Danielle, Ashley, Nick, Emily, Lauren, Bryanna, Nathan, Brooke, Anna and William; and several great-grandchildren.
He was an avid farmer, loved to wheel and deal, and enjoyed his greenhouse. He was a faithful member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Brother Kenny Chyle officiating the service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
