Minnie Johnson, 91, of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at her home in Lewisburg.
She was born Saturday, April 11, 1931, the daughter of the late Jim Penrod and the late Mae Coleman Penrod. She was the wife of the late Russell Johnson Sr.
She was a grocery store and deli cashier and a member of Baugh Station General Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Dorothy Shephard of Lewisburg, Lucille Whitesel of Arizona, and Carol Kerns of Campbellstown, Ohio; her sons, Russell Johnson Jr. of Lewisburg and William Ray Johnson of Palm Springs, Calif.; her sister, Beverly Harris of Lewisburg; her brother, James Penrod of Lewisburg; and her 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Margie Hilton and Doris Jean Whitmore.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Jonathan Hadden and Bro. Glen Harper officiating. Interment will be in Fitzhugh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
