Jackie Martin, 73, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born Aug. 8, 1948 to the late Walter Lee Martin and Bethel Perdue Martin. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked for Emerson Electric for 44 years. He was an active member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patty Martin; his son, Matthew Martin and wife Leslie of Russellville; his daughters, Melanie Scarbrough and husband Dwight of Russellville, Misty Martin of Russellville and Shelly Nolloth of Bowling Green; his brothers, Billy Martin and wife Glenda and Ricky Martin and wife Becky, all of Russellville; his brother-in-law, Bobby Allen of Russellville; his sister, Vickie Penick and husband Gordon of Russellville; and his grandchildren, Brittany Martin, Baylee Martin, Tori Scarbrough and Hunter Scarbrough.
Funeral services for Jackie Martin will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at Whippoorwill Baptist Church in Schochoh with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating with burial to follow in Whippoorwill Cemetery. Visitation Thursday at the church will be held from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
