Betty Castile, 83, of Olmstead, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Elkton on Nov. 10, 1938 to the late Richard Hyams and Hessie Collins Hyams. She worked at Red Kap and the Adairville Hosiery Mill. She was a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church where she enjoyed working during Bible Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Lee Castile.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Castile and wife Dawn and Franklin ‘Rod’ Castile, all of Olmstead; her daughter, Patricia Cole of Russellville; her brothers, Morris Hyams and wife Barbara and Marion Thomas Hyams and wife Marena, all of Russellville; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters.
Funeral services for Betty Castile will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating with burial to follow in the Dripping Spring Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Tuesday, July 19, from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to the service time.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, The Gideons or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
