Junior Toomey, 79, of Beech Creek, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Maple Health and Rehab in Greenville.
He was born Friday, Jan. 22, 1943, the son of Hobert Toomey and Mildred Williams Toomey.
He was a coal miner for the Peabody Coal Company and of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his daughters, Brenda Bruce of Indianapolis and Jennifer Gill of Hendersonville; his sons, Jamie Toomey of Beechmont, David Toomey of Lebanon and Josh Toomey of Auburn; his brothers, James Toomey of Olmstead and Lyndell Toomey of Greenville; his eight grandchildren and and his three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Wilda Jean Pearson ND Rosie Bell Wallace; and his brothers, Harold Toomey, Jerry Toomey, J.D. Toomey and Raymond Toomey.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. .on Wednesday, July 13, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg with Bro. Brad Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Toomey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at Price Funeral Home, Inc.
