Virgil Scruggs, 63, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Logan Memorial Hospital. He was a Logan County native, born Sept. 19, 1958 to the late James Alexander Scruggs and Mary Magdeline Adams Scruggs. He was a truck driver and attended New Beginnings Church in Sharon Grove.
He was preceded in death by his son, B.J. Scruggs.
He was survived by his daughter, Nicole Arnold of Russellville; his brothers, Lewis Scruggs of Russellville, John and Jimbo Scruggs of Auburn, Tony Scruggs of Springfield and Dewey Scruggs of Virginia; his sisters, Ida Thomas and Debbie Watkins, both of Auburn, and Charlotte Logan and Norman Keys, both of Russellville; his close friend, Lisa Knight of Russellville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Celebration of Life for Virgil Scruggs will be conducted at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 8, at the Schochoh Community Center. Visitation at the Schochoh Community Center will be held Friday from noon until the service hour of 5.
