The family of Mable Joanna Logan announces her passing on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at the age of 92 years. She was born Sept. 25, 1929 in Simpson County to Jesse E. McLemore and Willie King Smith McLemore. She was a life-long Logan Countian and a graduate of Chandlers High School, where she gained many life-long friends.

She will be remembered for her extreme kindness and her servant’s heart. If there was a meal to fix, a friend or family member who needed taken to the doctor, or anything she could do for her church family, Mable Jo was willing to do it. She worked for many years as bookkeeper for her husband’s business, William Logan Trucking. She was a member of the Russellville United Pentecostal Church where she served in the choir for many years and as a past mission’s director.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband, Joseph William Logan; and her brother, J. Wendell McLemore.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Donnie Logan Nealy (Garry) of Louisville and Connie Logan Pearson (Bill, dec.) of Russellville; her brother, Walter E. McLemore of Ocala, Fla.; her sisters, Dolores Whiting and Lorella Woodard, both of Russellville and Gloria Ambuske (Robert) of Auburn; her granddaughter, Dr. Paige Nealy Quintero (Bryant); her great-grandson, Rhett Logan Quintero; and his great-granddaughter, Scarlett Rose Quintero. Several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mable Joanna Logan will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Scott Marshall and Bro. Nathan Whiting officiating with burial to follow in Russellville Memorial Gardens. Visitation at United Pentecostal Church will be held Tuesday at the church from 8 a.m. until the service hour.

Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers will be Garry Nealy, Bryant Quintero, Dennis Daugherty, Tim Frazier, Paul Wagoner and Curtis Nightingale.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Russellville United Pentecostal Church, P.O. Box 505, Russellville, Ky. 42276. Envelopes will be available at the church.
