Robert "Bob" Lynn Birdwhistell, 81, of Lewisburg, died on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at his home in Bowling Green.

He was born Friday, July 7, 1939 in Frankfort, the son of the late Lewis Birdwhistell and the late Elizabeth Birdwhistell. He was the husband of Donna Caudill Birdwhistell, who survives.

He was a teacher and coach at Lewisburg High School; he was also athletic director, assistant principal, and principal at Logan County High School; after that, he was the assistant principal at Chandler's School. He also served as a probation officer for Logan County with the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole.

Bob was a member of Lewisburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder.

Also surviving are his son, Joe Birdwhistell (Christy) of Bowling Green; his daughters, Jane Wells (Billy) of Venice, Fla. and Susan Ezell (Mike) of Auburn; his brother, Mike Birdwhistell of Franklin; his grandchildren, Taylor Wells of Venice, Fla. and Kevin Birdwhistell, Erin Birdwhistell and Caiden Mefford, all of Bowling Green.

A private graveside service will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery, Simpson County.

There will be a public walkthrough visitation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, at Logan County High School, 2200 Bowling Green Road, Russellville, KY 42256. There will be no public funeral service following visitation.

Price Funeral Home of Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.

The family encourages visitors to write a favorite memory of Bob to leave at visitation for them to have and read. There will be boxes present at the high school.
