Mary Shackelford, 82, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at her home. She was born in Greenville on Feb. 4, 1939 to the late Walton Fairbanks Forgy and Lurlean DeArmond Forgy. She had worked at Rockwell and Emerson and was a member of Dripping Spring Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. A. Shackelford.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Wayne Epley of Lewisburg, Roy Lee Whitmer of Dallas, and Ronnie Keith Epley and Nicky Lynn Epley, both of Russellville; her brothers, Jerry Forgy and Vernie Forgy, both of Lewisburg; her sister, Janice Branham of Adairville; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild
Funeral services for Mary Shackelford will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 14, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Rev. McGinnis officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Friday will be held from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
