Clara L. White, 84, of Rockfield, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 at Auburn Healthcare. She was born in Dunmor on Sept. 24, 1936 to the late Leslie Staples and Ethel Porter Staples. She was a retired mail carrier and member of the United Methodist Temple where she was active in church events until she was unable to participate.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas R. White, and her daughter, Regina White.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Watkins and Jack of Rockfield; her brother, Harold Staples and Patty of Dunmor; her sister, Ilene Bought of Russellville; her grandchildren, Emiy Averitt and Mark of Chattanooga and Seth Averitt and Amber of Auburn; and her great-grandchildren, Jude Averitt and Fallon Pleasant of Auburn.
Due to the latest governor’s mandate, a private funeral service for Clara L. White will be held at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Romans officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Temple. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
