Irene Pedigo Deaux, 101, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. She was a Logan County native, born Jan. 7, 1919 to the late J. B. Pedigo and Annie Martin Pedigo. She was a sales clerk for Young’s Department Store and a member of Crittenden Drive Church of Christ. She loved to cook, quilt and raise flowers in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. E. Deaux.
She is survived by her sons, James ‘Jimmy’ Edward Deaux and Joan of Whitwell, Tenn. and Christopher Elmo Deaux and Dixie of Sellersburg, Ind.; her daughters, Claudia Ann Heichelbech of Indiana and Charlotte Irene Taylor and Herman of Russellville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchilren.
Private graveside services for the family of Irene Pedigo Deaux will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery. Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
